SLPR has been a trusted source in building brands for over 30 years offering full-service, lifestyle PR and marketing services including brand story creation, PR, social media management, content development, influencer marketing, brand partnerships, and events. The agency currently offers one-on-one consulting and marketing partner referrals and recommendations. SLPR continues to work closely with marketing and content development agency, The Westside Collective, and collaborates on consulting projects; together the two agencies created the Mindful Marketing Bundle, an overall branding, marketing, PR and social media evaluation packaged in a simple and effective way to help small businesses grow.
Founded as a fashion PR firm in 1988, SLPR was one of the early pioneers of fashion PR on the West Coast and became the first PR agency specializing in the action sports industry. While a lot has changed since the agency was founded, one thing hasn’t – our passion for building brands. Our experience spans fashion, footwear, accessories, action sports and outdoor, with a modern approach to digital, social, and content creation. The company’s client roster has included companies such as Lucky Brand Jeans, Vans, Dakine, G-Shock, Smith Optics, Etnies, Hard Tail, Freestyle, Merrell, OluKai, Blundstone, Laird Apparel, Asics, and many more.
With over 30 years in marketing and public relations, agency owner Staci Levine brings a vast array of experience from both the brand and agency sides. Having worked as marketing director at multiple companies and now on the agency side helping build brands, her extensive experience is well-regarded. Her passion lies in helping brands identify their unique market position and developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies to build brand awareness.
“Helping brands identify their unique position at market and creating captivating brand narratives that capture emotional connections with consumers is so rewarding,” says Levine. “Going to market with a brand that doesn’t have this dialed-in first is risky. And if we get this right, it makes the PR piece so much easier.”
Levine joined the agency in 1996, creating the action sports division, leading PR programs for events such as Mavericks Surf Contest, Warner Bros. Supergirl Jam, Vans Triple Crown of Skateboarding, Snowboarding and BMX, and Boarding for Breast Cancer’s Sports and Music Festival. She has also contributed to the growth of numerous well-known companies and helped to launch countless new brands within various industries. She is now the sole owner of the agency and changed the name from SNL Communications to SLPR.
Levine is a masterful networker and community builder, and her passion for world travel and the health/wellness industry led her to launch Sacred Women Retreats, a global retreat company hosting inspiring and uplifting gatherings and retreats around the world. Additionally, she co-founded the Creative Business WMN Collective, a growing collaborative of female entrepreneurs who come together monthly to share resources, ideas and to inspire and uplift one another.
